Because we live in a’nice country'. In which we "grandly" celebrate our own "I". But it is also a hard time in which we sometimes come up against each other and we have to fight. Where, in addition to that success, people also fall, doubt and are gloomy.  Are our shoulders strong enough to hold everyone?  And do we still want that? How kind are we to each other? And what is that: really being sweet?

In ' we think it's time for something sweet’, four young people try to rewrite the rules of their generation. In a physical, visual rollercoaster of thoughts and short acts to the beats of Woody Veneman, they try to bring a loving ode to themselves and the other.

'We think it's time for something sweet, is the third performance in the WIJ series that Lenneke Maas is developing at Wildpark with young people. Earlier she made ‘we are all fifteen and are very eager to turn sixteen’ and ‘we would like to say something about this’. We speak, reflect, and act from the perspective of young people and everything around them.

The show was developed from the hearts of four young people and performed by a professional cast.
